The Virginia Circulation Research Center is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has been granted tax-exempt status by the IRS under section 501(c)(3).

VCIRC.ORG is a non-profit organization that is building a teaching laboratory devoted to the study of molecular cardiovascular medicine in Roanoke. This incubator was built to develop our cardiovascular biotechnology leaders of tomorrow, while studying how to treat and prevent ischemic cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack and stroke that are characterized by a local deficiency of oxygen, also known as hypoxia.

Dedicated physical space is located on the second floor of the Corazon Building, adjacent to the Roanoke Heart Institute in Roanoke, Virginia.
